Episode 24

The Success Mindset: 6 Principles That Will Change Your Business | 024

What does success actually mean for you? Is it about revenue? Recognition? Freedom? Fulfillment? Impact?

The truth is, success is deeply personal. And the moment you stop measuring it against someone else’s yardstick is the moment you start truly growing your business and living a life that feels aligned to you and your values.

In this episode, I share the 6 core rules of success we live by in our community. These aren't just feel-good phrases, they’re powerful mindset shifts and actions that can reshape how you show up in both your business and your life.

You'll walk away with permission (and encouragement) to lead boldly, build intentionally, and define success on your own terms.

Key Takeaways:

  • Success is personal: There’s no one-size-fits-all version. Define what success means to YOU.
  • See adventure: Reframe challenges as adventures and choose your perspective intentionally.
  • Take up space: Visibility is non-negotiable for growth.
  • Choose joy: Even in tough moments, how you feel is a choice.
  • Invest in yourself: Time, money, and energy spent on learning or support will pay you back in dividends.
  • Keep the next level in mind: Set realistic, stretch, and “next-level” goals to drive momentum.
  • Decide: Indecision drains energy whereas making a decision moves you forward.
  • There are no wrong turns: Every step brings clarity, even if the direction pivots.
  • Let go of comparison: You are not behind. You’re building yourself and your business.
  • You don’t need permission: But if you’ve been waiting for it, this is it. Take up space and lead.

Sharon Galluzzo:

So welcome back profit connectors. I am so

Sharon Galluzzo:

excited to join you today. I have a conversation that I

Sharon Galluzzo:

wanted to have that is very specifically about success. We

Sharon Galluzzo:

talk a lot about being successful in our businesses.

Sharon Galluzzo:

How do you be successful? How do you be profitable? What can you

Sharon Galluzzo:

do to build your business? And I wanted to talk a little bit

Sharon Galluzzo:

about success, and how I define success, and what the rules are

Sharon Galluzzo:

to get to be successful. And I think that this is a very

Sharon Galluzzo:

important topic to talk about, because sometimes we say things

Sharon Galluzzo:

and we don't necessarily define what that means. Now my personal

Sharon Galluzzo:

opinion is that your success, what you define as success, is

Sharon Galluzzo:

your definition of success. Sometimes business owners want

Sharon Galluzzo:

to be very, very profitable. It's about the numbers. It's

Sharon Galluzzo:

about six figures, seven figures, eight figures. It's

Sharon Galluzzo:

about that side is what they consider successful. Some

Sharon Galluzzo:

business owners consider success in measured in awards and

Sharon Galluzzo:

accolades and third party assessments of your success.

Sharon Galluzzo:

Some people are about people and how the customers are treated

Sharon Galluzzo:

and the customer experience. And some people measure success by

Sharon Galluzzo:

how big a difference they're making in the world, and many,

Sharon Galluzzo:

many other ways to measure success. So I want you to be

Sharon Galluzzo:

open to what does success mean for you. I think that's the core

Sharon Galluzzo:

part of being having the business that you love, reaching

Sharon Galluzzo:

the level of success that you want is being able to to define

Sharon Galluzzo:

what does success mean to me, whenever I talk about success, I

Sharon Galluzzo:

will talk about it in many different forms and fashions,

Sharon Galluzzo:

because I don't actually know how you personally define

Sharon Galluzzo:

success. So I'm going to talk today about the rules for

Sharon Galluzzo:

success. The rules of success. How do you get there and how do

Sharon Galluzzo:

you how do you be successful? What is the What is that look

Sharon Galluzzo:

like? However, the way that you look at it, for your personal

Sharon Galluzzo:

business, for your personal life, for your goals, in

Sharon Galluzzo:

everything that you do that can be different from person to

Sharon Galluzzo:

person. So just to start things off, I want to acknowledge and

Sharon Galluzzo:

affirm that your success is defined by you. Now that doesn't

Sharon Galluzzo:

mean that you don't measure it off of someone else's measuring

Sharon Galluzzo:

stick. That's perfectly fine if you want to measure your success

Sharon Galluzzo:

that way. That's the way you measure it. However, whenever

Sharon Galluzzo:

someone uses a term like success, that creates a picture

Sharon Galluzzo:

in everyone's mind that's a little bit different. I tell a

Sharon Galluzzo:

story when I'm illustrating what I do about being lost in a maze

Sharon Galluzzo:

and making wrong turns and running into walls and going in

Sharon Galluzzo:

circles. And I talk about the maze as an allegory for how we

Sharon Galluzzo:

feel about running our businesses. However, what I've

Sharon Galluzzo:

found is, every time I tell the story about the maze, every

Sharon Galluzzo:

person in that room visualizes the maze in a different way.

Sharon Galluzzo:

It's different for everyone. Some people see a cartoon maze.

Sharon Galluzzo:

Some people think back to the, you know, the ancients and the

Sharon Galluzzo:

the the maze that you know, the the giant, the giant maze there,

Sharon Galluzzo:

some people think about a video game, and so it's different for

Sharon Galluzzo:

every person. So I think that success is also something that

Sharon Galluzzo:

is individual. And when you get really clear on what success

Sharon Galluzzo:

means to you, then you can actually make so many strides

Sharon Galluzzo:

forward, because you know what it looks like. You know what it

Sharon Galluzzo:

feels like inside. You can almost taste it, you see it. You

Sharon Galluzzo:

have a vision for what is that thing that I call success, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

sometimes, unfortunately, people don't have a clear picture of

Sharon Galluzzo:

what that success looks like, and so they deem themselves

Sharon Galluzzo:

unsuccessful because they don't know what it should be, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

they're just looking at someone else's homework, going, mine

Sharon Galluzzo:

doesn't look like that, therefore I'm not successful. So

Sharon Galluzzo:

if you don't already have a vision of what success looks

Sharon Galluzzo:

like, what it feels like, what it tastes like, what it's like

Sharon Galluzzo:

to have, what you want in your hands, I encourage you to

Sharon Galluzzo:

ruminate on that and really get clear, clear, clear on what

Sharon Galluzzo:

success. Means to you. Now, my conversation today is going to

Sharon Galluzzo:

be the rules of success that we use in our community here. So

Sharon Galluzzo:

I'm going to there also rules of success that will be applicable,

Sharon Galluzzo:

applicable across many genres. So anywhere that you go, these

Sharon Galluzzo:

success principles will apply. However, I'm specifically

Sharon Galluzzo:

talking about rules of success that we use in our community to

Sharon Galluzzo:

talk about business and how we can be successful in business

Sharon Galluzzo:

and in life. So the first rule of success that we have here is

Sharon Galluzzo:

called Sea adventure, meaning visualize adventure. And the way

Sharon Galluzzo:

I define adventure is that life and everything that happens to

Sharon Galluzzo:

us is an adventure. The boring stuff can be an adventure. The

Sharon Galluzzo:

exciting stuff, of course, is an adventure. And then there's the

Sharon Galluzzo:

crazy sideways. I didn't expect that things, and that's where I

Sharon Galluzzo:

actually love the word adventure. So I'm going to tell

Sharon Galluzzo:

you a story about my dad, whenever I was little, probably

Sharon Galluzzo:

I would say late middle school, late elementary school, early

Sharon Galluzzo:

middle school, we went on a family vacation, my dad and my

Sharon Galluzzo:

mom and me, and we went to the woodcutters festival. Now, this

Sharon Galluzzo:

was an amazing, cool thing. People were out there with

Sharon Galluzzo:

chainsaws, making sculptures, cutting things, walking on logs.

Sharon Galluzzo:

It was a crazy, crazy thing. It was a multi day event, and we

Sharon Galluzzo:

had taken a RV, or my grandparents RV, to go to this

Sharon Galluzzo:

festival, and so therefore we did not have a car to drive back

Sharon Galluzzo:

and forth. However, the day we arrived, my dad drove the RV all

Sharon Galluzzo:

around to see what was around in the area, and we found this

Sharon Galluzzo:

beautiful little lake. So one day it was absolutely

Sharon Galluzzo:

sweltering, and I was like, Daddy, please, please. Can we go

Sharon Galluzzo:

swimming? My mom was taking a nap, and he's like, Fine, we'll

Sharon Galluzzo:

go. We'll walk. It's not far. So we got out on the main road, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

we actually hitched a ride with some crazy kids in a jeep. There

Sharon Galluzzo:

was probably like eight boys and girls, and they're getting ready

Sharon Galluzzo:

to go swimming somewhere, and they were all in their summer

Sharon Galluzzo:

gear, and we jumped on the back of the Jeep and rode down the

Sharon Galluzzo:

road, and they dropped us off on the road that went back to the

Sharon Galluzzo:

lake. And so we began walking, and it was fun. I was so

Sharon Galluzzo:

excited. And we were walking and walking and walking. And

Sharon Galluzzo:

eventually I was like, Daddy, how much further is it? He's

Sharon Galluzzo:

like, oh, oh, it's just around the next bend. And so we get to

Sharon Galluzzo:

the next bend and it wasn't there. There was just more road.

Sharon Galluzzo:

And so I said, Well, I thought you said it was just around the

Sharon Galluzzo:

next bend. He goes, Oh, no, no, no. I know where we are now I

Sharon Galluzzo:

remember it's just around the next bend. Well, let me tell you

Sharon Galluzzo:

that it was a couple miles down the road before we got to the

Sharon Galluzzo:

lake, and my dad just around the next bended me all the way to

Sharon Galluzzo:

the lake, to the point where it became hysterical. And I was

Sharon Galluzzo:

like, around the next bend, right? Dad? And he's like, yes,

Sharon Galluzzo:

and we'd get around and there was still more road. So that

Sharon Galluzzo:

became our just around the next bend story and joke within my

Sharon Galluzzo:

family. And so whenever my kids were little, we went on a

Sharon Galluzzo:

similar adventure. We were in a car, however, and we were

Sharon Galluzzo:

driving in the mountains, and this was before GPS. This week.

Sharon Galluzzo:

It just had a paper map, and we were driving, and it was a very

Sharon Galluzzo:

crazy mountain road. And after a while, the kids were like, Mom,

Sharon Galluzzo:

when are we going to get there? When are we going to get there?

Sharon Galluzzo:

So I was like, Oh, it's just around the next bend for maybe

Sharon Galluzzo:

about 10 more miles until we arrived at our destination. And

Sharon Galluzzo:

so I had my own just around the next Ben story with my kids, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

that actually triggered something in me to begin to

Sharon Galluzzo:

express our our hardships and things that didn't go the way we

Sharon Galluzzo:

wanted to as well. It's an adventure. And so my kids

Sharon Galluzzo:

actually make fun of me. Oh, Mom's gonna say this is an

Sharon Galluzzo:

adventure. Everything in life that we experience can be viewed

Sharon Galluzzo:

from any lens that we choose to use. It's our choice. We get to

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose what we see. We get to choose how we feel. That doesn't

Sharon Galluzzo:

mean that we should be

Sharon Galluzzo:

that we should deny everything's existence. It's like this thing

Sharon Galluzzo:

in in front of me exists. This is not where I thought I was

Sharon Galluzzo:

going to be. This is not how I thought this thing was going to

Sharon Galluzzo:

go. However, I can choose to look at it as a problem. I can

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose to look at it as a challenge. I can choose to look

Sharon Galluzzo:

at it. As an adventure. So that is what I mean by sea adventure,

Sharon Galluzzo:

when things don't go quite the way that you were expecting them

Sharon Galluzzo:

to go. If you change your perspective and go, Oh, this is

Sharon Galluzzo:

an adventure, then that means you can laugh about it. That

Sharon Galluzzo:

means you can tolerate the hard parts. You can cry through the

Sharon Galluzzo:

things that are struck you know that cause you emotion. You can

Sharon Galluzzo:

laugh about things that cause you joy, and you can actually

Sharon Galluzzo:

change the the way that you experience that thing that's in

Sharon Galluzzo:

front of you, if you choose to see it as an adventure. Now the

Sharon Galluzzo:

second rule of success is important, and I think this is

Sharon Galluzzo:

true for every space that you go into, everywhere you are as a

Sharon Galluzzo:

human being, that this is a rule that you should follow. And I am

Sharon Galluzzo:

specifically talking for two people for whom this is not a

Sharon Galluzzo:

natural choice. This is something that is hard or not

Sharon Galluzzo:

even something that you ever think about doing, and that is

Sharon Galluzzo:

to take up space. Every place that you go, you can belong.

Sharon Galluzzo:

Everything that you do is important when you are in a

Sharon Galluzzo:

space, when you are running a business, when you are anywhere,

Sharon Galluzzo:

you need to take up space, and I say need very specifically,

Sharon Galluzzo:

because if you want your business to be noticed, if you

Sharon Galluzzo:

want your business to be successful, if you want to move

Sharon Galluzzo:

your business to the level that you want to move it, if you want

Sharon Galluzzo:

to make The change in the world that you want to change to that

Sharon Galluzzo:

you want to make, you have to take up space. People have to be

Sharon Galluzzo:

able to see you. You must be visible. In order to be visible,

Sharon Galluzzo:

you have to take up space. It is okay for you to be there. You

Sharon Galluzzo:

have a right and you have an obligation, because the goal of

Sharon Galluzzo:

your business is to make money or make a difference, or

Sharon Galluzzo:

whatever the goal of your business is, however, the

Sharon Galluzzo:

vehicle that you use to get there is to solve your

Sharon Galluzzo:

customer's problem. That's 100% of what you do as a business.

Sharon Galluzzo:

You are a problem solver. You're solving the problem your

Sharon Galluzzo:

customer has. And in order to do that, they have to be able to

Sharon Galluzzo:

see you and to connect with you. And the only way to do that is

Sharon Galluzzo:

to take up space. So go ahead, be visible. Say the weird thing,

Sharon Galluzzo:

get out there. Let people know what you do, how you do it, how

Sharon Galluzzo:

you can change their lives, how you can make a difference in

Sharon Galluzzo:

this world. And take up space unapologetically. Don't take up

Sharon Galluzzo:

space and say, I'm sorry. Don't take up space and say, Oh, if I

Sharon Galluzzo:

could just sort of scooch in here, take up space confidently.

Sharon Galluzzo:

You are allowed to be there. You are permitted to be there, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

you don't actually need the permission. However, for those

Sharon Galluzzo:

of you who think you do, I am giving you permission right now.

Sharon Galluzzo:

You have permission to take up space. You are encouraged to

Sharon Galluzzo:

take up space be what you need to be, so that you can do the

Sharon Galluzzo:

things that you want to do in your business. The third rule of

Sharon Galluzzo:

success in our community, and I think for your business, is

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose joy. Now, some people are like, Oh, these, these negative.

Sharon Galluzzo:

What do they call it? When people are very, very positive,

Sharon Galluzzo:

they actually can be kind of negative. I'm not saying just be

Sharon Galluzzo:

happy, to be happy. In fact, I'm not even saying Be happy. What

Sharon Galluzzo:

I'm saying is that anything that goes on in your business can be

Sharon Galluzzo:

reacted to by your choice. You get to choose if you're going to

Sharon Galluzzo:

be angry, you get to choose if you're frustrated. You get to

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose if you are irritated. You get to choose if you're annoyed.

Sharon Galluzzo:

You get to choose if you are overwhelmed. You actually get to

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose everything that you feel in your business and in your

Sharon Galluzzo:

life as well. However, in your business, you can choose joy.

Sharon Galluzzo:

And the reason I use the word joy, as opposed to happiness, is

Sharon Galluzzo:

happiness is, to my definition, more of a of a feeling. It's a

Sharon Galluzzo:

state of mind. It's it's I'm happy, and it's very you know,

Sharon Galluzzo:

everything is good, however, joy can be experienced in my

Sharon Galluzzo:

definition, in every moment of life, even when something is

Sharon Galluzzo:

hard, even when something is disappointing, even when you

Sharon Galluzzo:

just don't feel like it does. It look like it could possibly have

Sharon Galluzzo:

any joy in it. That's why people call you know, every cloud has a

Sharon Galluzzo:

silver lining. The silver lining is that little piece of joy that

Sharon Galluzzo:

you that you can get if you know, you lost a big job, maybe

Sharon Galluzzo:

you worked for months and it didn't come through, and you

Sharon Galluzzo:

lost that big opportunity. Well, where's the joy in that? Well,

Sharon Galluzzo:

let's think about that. The joy in that could be a that you had

Sharon Galluzzo:

the opportunity, that you did all of the things that you could

Sharon Galluzzo:

do to get the opportunity to come to you that if you were

Sharon Galluzzo:

putting together a proposal, let's say you did all the work

Sharon Galluzzo:

to put the proposal together. That means you pulled

Sharon Galluzzo:

information, you collected something, you presented it, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

you actually created that presentation. It didn't exist

Sharon Galluzzo:

before you created it. You created something. There can be

Sharon Galluzzo:

joy in the creation. In addition, you learned something

Sharon Galluzzo:

by creating it, and even by getting rejected from that

Sharon Galluzzo:

thing, you also can learn from the rejection. So all of these

Sharon Galluzzo:

things can be ways to find joy in anything that goes on in your

Sharon Galluzzo:

life. And joy is, is a is a state of being, as opposed to an

Sharon Galluzzo:

emotion. Whenever I'm talking about choose joy, it's I am in

Sharon Galluzzo:

this thing, and it is my choice if I'm how I'm going to react,

Sharon Galluzzo:

what I'm going to feel. And a lot of times, we don't

Sharon Galluzzo:

understand that all of our emotions are our choice, because

Sharon Galluzzo:

some of our emotions, they come right from inside of us right at

Sharon Galluzzo:

that anger, that frustration, that overwhelm, that comes from

Sharon Galluzzo:

inside of us, and it can feel like it belongs to us so

Sharon Galluzzo:

authentically. And the reality is that is a choice I know,

Sharon Galluzzo:

honestly, I have been in situations where I have been

Sharon Galluzzo:

frustrated and angry and upset, and I literally had the thought,

Sharon Galluzzo:

the conscious thought, you are choosing to have this emotion

Sharon Galluzzo:

right now. And said, Yes, I know, and I'm still going to

Sharon Galluzzo:

have the negative emotion. I'm still going to cry. I need to

Sharon Galluzzo:

get this. I'm choosing this for this moment, and then in the

Sharon Galluzzo:

next moment I could move to something else. So it's okay to

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose, to process those emotions as they come up, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

know that they are a choice. It's not out of your control. So

Sharon Galluzzo:

the fourth rule of success here in our community and in your

Sharon Galluzzo:

business is invest in yourself and invest in your business. And

Sharon Galluzzo:

what I mean by invest? I mean invest time to learn things. I

Sharon Galluzzo:

mean invest money to get help from professionals who can help

Sharon Galluzzo:

you. I mean, invest in anything that you you know, reading a

Sharon Galluzzo:

book, listening to someone who has done what you want to do.

Sharon Galluzzo:

What did they do? Invest in, in getting the information from

Sharon Galluzzo:

them. Invest in conversations with other people who own

Sharon Galluzzo:

businesses. What are they doing? What's working for them? You

Sharon Galluzzo:

know people that do the same thing as you do, what are they

Sharon Galluzzo:

doing that's making them successful? What are they doing

Sharon Galluzzo:

that is causing challenges? And how can you learn from that?

Sharon Galluzzo:

Investing in your self and in your business is both

Sharon Galluzzo:

educational, informational technology, resources,

Sharon Galluzzo:

professional help, all of those things all combine to help you

Sharon Galluzzo:

be better at what you do in running your business, because I

Sharon Galluzzo:

believe that you need people when you're running a business,

Sharon Galluzzo:

if it takes a village to raise a child, it certainly takes a

Sharon Galluzzo:

village to build a business. It's not something that you need

Sharon Galluzzo:

to do all alone. You have the ability to get resources and

Sharon Galluzzo:

help from everywhere. So invest in yourself. Use, use the

Sharon Galluzzo:

opportunities that are presented to you to build on what you

Sharon Galluzzo:

already have so that you can move your business forward. The

Sharon Galluzzo:

fifth principle, the fifth rule of success, is one of my

Sharon Galluzzo:

favorites,

Sharon Galluzzo:

and that is, keep the next level in mind. Whenever I work with my

Sharon Galluzzo:

clients, we talk about a lot about goal setting, where are

Sharon Galluzzo:

you going, you know, what's the vision? What's that? You know,

Sharon Galluzzo:

what are you doing? What's and it's beyond the you know, I need

Sharon Galluzzo:

a five year plan. I need a two year plan. I need a one year but

Sharon Galluzzo:

yes, you absolutely need those. And you need the vision of where

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're going to go, and what are you going to do in your

Sharon Galluzzo:

business, with your business, for your customers, and the

Sharon Galluzzo:

difference that you want to make in the world. So that is level

Sharon Galluzzo:

one, having those goals, having that clearly deline. It out

Sharon Galluzzo:

information that you can go to and go when you get lost and

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're tired and you're frustrated. Oh, wait a minute.

Sharon Galluzzo:

Let me pull out. Let me pull out our goals. Where are we going?

Sharon Galluzzo:

What are we doing here? That can recenter you and get you set to

Sharon Galluzzo:

keep moving forward. And the important thing that I with this

Sharon Galluzzo:

principle is the next level goal. And what I mean by next

Sharon Galluzzo:

level goal is, I think you should have three types of

Sharon Galluzzo:

goals. First of all, you should have realistic goals, which

Sharon Galluzzo:

could be say, in sales I'm going to do my goals for next year are

Sharon Galluzzo:

going to be that I'm going to increase my sales by 10% or 20%

Sharon Galluzzo:

or 30% whatever, or by so much money, or I'm going to reach

Sharon Galluzzo:

this level of income. So you can just define those goals, and

Sharon Galluzzo:

those are, those are realistic goals that you could and should,

Sharon Galluzzo:

in quotes, get to in the next year. Those are realistic goals.

Sharon Galluzzo:

The second type of goals that I love my clients to have is

Sharon Galluzzo:

stretch goals, and that means that you're going to set the

Sharon Galluzzo:

same goals you set for your realistic goals however you're

Sharon Galluzzo:

going to set them even higher. And how do you know when you

Sharon Galluzzo:

have a really good stretch goal? Here's how you know when you

Sharon Galluzzo:

write that we're just going to stick with sales goals. Now when

Sharon Galluzzo:

you write that number down, you feel some kind of way. You get

Sharon Galluzzo:

sick on the stomach. You have your your heart starts pounding

Sharon Galluzzo:

a little bit faster. You get a little sweaty. Your palms are

Sharon Galluzzo:

wet. You it triggers a reaction in you. That's like, I don't

Sharon Galluzzo:

know if I can do that that, and if I did that, that would be

Sharon Galluzzo:

really awesome. So that's a really good stretch goal. When

Sharon Galluzzo:

you look at it and you're like, Ooh, wow, baby. And then the

Sharon Galluzzo:

third type of goals is your next level goals, and that is not

Sharon Galluzzo:

necessarily in the next year or two years. It might be five

Sharon Galluzzo:

years in the future, or it might just be the next place you want

Sharon Galluzzo:

to be. So a Strat the next level goal might be, well, I have this

Sharon Galluzzo:

business, and I want to, I want to expand my reach by starting a

Sharon Galluzzo:

podcast. But a podcast isn't really what you need to be doing

Sharon Galluzzo:

right now. However, that's where you want to take. You take

Sharon Galluzzo:

yourself and your business the next level. So the next level is

Sharon Galluzzo:

going to be, I want a podcast. So that is something where you

Sharon Galluzzo:

it's it's not an immediate thing, however you're working

Sharon Galluzzo:

towards it. So you know what direction to take your business.

Sharon Galluzzo:

For example, whenever my husband and I had our business in our

Sharon Galluzzo:

home when we started, we set a next level goal for in five

Sharon Galluzzo:

years, we will be in a retail location, and that was a day one

Sharon Galluzzo:

next level goal. Honestly didn't have a name for it at that time.

Sharon Galluzzo:

I just knew that was the next place we wanted to take our

Sharon Galluzzo:

business. So for the first four and a half years, everything

Sharon Galluzzo:

that we did led to our ability to reach that goal in under five

Sharon Galluzzo:

years. So that was our next level goal. So I highly

Sharon Galluzzo:

recommend that if you want to move forward, you want to keep

Sharon Galluzzo:

going. If you have a legacy in mind, a difference that you want

Sharon Galluzzo:

to make, that not only do you choose the goals that you can

Sharon Galluzzo:

see in front of you, but where do you want to go next? And

Sharon Galluzzo:

sometimes that might be retirement. Who knows? Um, that

Sharon Galluzzo:

next level goal is up to you and your business so but working and

Sharon Galluzzo:

working towards that next level goal actually makes a tremendous

Sharon Galluzzo:

difference in everything that you do, because you know where

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're going. And before you ask, could your next level goal

Sharon Galluzzo:

change? Yes, absolutely. It's not set in concrete. It is that

Sharon Galluzzo:

next thing that you want to work towards. However, if you get

Sharon Galluzzo:

into the next year or two and you're like, you know what,

Sharon Galluzzo:

maybe I don't want to have a podcast. Maybe what I want to do

Sharon Galluzzo:

is go around the country and speak. I don't know, but you can

Sharon Galluzzo:

choose a different next level goal. You just adjust what

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're doing for that next level goal. And then the final rule of

Sharon Galluzzo:

success that I want to talk about today is one of the most

Sharon Galluzzo:

powerful things you can do in your business and one of the

Sharon Galluzzo:

most powerful things you can do in your life. Like I said

Sharon Galluzzo:

before, these success rules can apply to everything. We

Sharon Galluzzo:

specifically use them for our community and in our businesses,

Sharon Galluzzo:

and that final rule of success is simply decide, decide what

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're going to do. We spend so much wasted energy, effort,

Sharon Galluzzo:

time, money, and everything else. In indecision when we are

Sharon Galluzzo:

thinking about something or we just don't know yet, and we

Sharon Galluzzo:

where we ask people for their opinion, and we're. I might even

Sharon Galluzzo:

go on AI and say, What do you think? Chat? GPT, you you're

Sharon Galluzzo:

getting information from everywhere, or maybe you're just

Sharon Galluzzo:

so overwhelmed you can't see the forest for the trees. So the

Sharon Galluzzo:

important element in this principle, in this rule is

Sharon Galluzzo:

decide, make a choice and start moving in that direction,

Sharon Galluzzo:

because what's going to happen is, if it's not the right

Sharon Galluzzo:

direction, you'll know within the first couple of steps maybe,

Sharon Galluzzo:

however, there's also an idea and a and a truth in the world

Sharon Galluzzo:

that there isn't a wrong decision to make, it's just the

Sharon Galluzzo:

decision that you make today. Go ahead and make the decision,

Sharon Galluzzo:

start moving in that direction, and you will find, most of the

Sharon Galluzzo:

time that as you begin to move in that direction, after you've

Sharon Galluzzo:

made the decision and start moving that way, that the

Sharon Galluzzo:

everything sort of comes together and that path opens up.

Sharon Galluzzo:

That doesn't mean the path is smooth and there aren't any road

Sharon Galluzzo:

bumps. Doesn't mean that there's no roadblocks or bumps you need

Sharon Galluzzo:

to get over. It just means that the path is opened up and you

Sharon Galluzzo:

can actually make a difference in your business by making a

Sharon Galluzzo:

decision, even if someone's like, well, then I don't know if

Sharon Galluzzo:

that's the decision I would have made. It's okay make the

Sharon Galluzzo:

decision that's right for you in the moment, and don't worry

Sharon Galluzzo:

about if it's the perfectly right decision. So many times,

Sharon Galluzzo:

so many conversations I've had in my life, I don't want to make

Sharon Galluzzo:

the wrong decision. How about we change that around to make a

Sharon Galluzzo:

decision and move in that direction and see if that

Sharon Galluzzo:

decision isn't the right one to be making. So I don't think you

Sharon Galluzzo:

can make a wrong decision, because everything that you do

Sharon Galluzzo:

takes you to a different place, and if you decide you don't want

Sharon Galluzzo:

to be in that place, well you can just make a decision to turn

Sharon Galluzzo:

left and go to the go another direction. The world is not

Sharon Galluzzo:

going to end the your business is not going to fail, most, more

Sharon Galluzzo:

than likely, by making a decision. So make the decision.

Sharon Galluzzo:

Be firm in making decisions. One of my other podcasts is on the

Sharon Galluzzo:

five levels of commitment, being, understanding, making a

Sharon Galluzzo:

commitment and making a decision and going into it and being

Sharon Galluzzo:

committed to it. And if you want to listen to that podcast, you

Sharon Galluzzo:

can listen to the five levels of commitment, and it goes into a

Sharon Galluzzo:

little bit deeper on what you do when you decide and how to be

Sharon Galluzzo:

committed to that decision. However, making the decision is

Sharon Galluzzo:

the crucial piece. You have to make a decision, because if you

Sharon Galluzzo:

stay in the swirl, in the whirlpool of indecision and

Sharon Galluzzo:

confusion, it will drag you down. It will make your business

Sharon Galluzzo:

less successful than it could be. It will make you feel

Sharon Galluzzo:

overwhelmed. It will, it will. It will affect your mental

Sharon Galluzzo:

health, it will affect your emotional health. Being in

Sharon Galluzzo:

confusion and indecision. A is a choice and B, it's very, very

Sharon Galluzzo:

detrimental to everything, because it just keeps you stuck.

Sharon Galluzzo:

So to recap, the rules of success are, see adventure, take

Sharon Galluzzo:

up space, choose joy, invest in yourself. Keep the next level in

Sharon Galluzzo:

mind and decide. So I hope you take these rules of success and

Sharon Galluzzo:

you ruminate on them and you choose maybe just one, that

Sharon Galluzzo:

you're going to go, Oh, I'm going to work on this rule of

Sharon Galluzzo:

success. I'm going to work on this for the next week or two

Sharon Galluzzo:

weeks or month, and I'm going to really dive in, and I'm going to

Sharon Galluzzo:

explore this rule of success and see how it changes my business.

Sharon Galluzzo:

And if you want to do all seven, I highly recommend that as well.
